The KRDB research group (opens new window) initiated and continues to lead the development of Ontop.

Ontopic s.r.l.

Ontopic (opens new window) has been co-founded by members of the research group at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano that started Ontop. Ontopic provides a complete suite (opens new window) of solutions for leveraging the potential of Ontop and Virtual Knowledge Graphs.

Birkbeck, University of London

The Birkbeck (opens new window) group have been extensively involved in the development of Ontop since 2012. They have worked on the theoretical foundations of the VKG approach, including query rewriting and optimisation, and contributed to the code base.
